A Vision of Famine
I saw men, women, and children wandering, their hands clutching empty plates. Their eyes were filled with desperation as they searched and begged for sustenance. The Holy Spirit spoke to me:
“You are looking at famine.”
The land was dry, the markets were empty, and there was barely any food. I saw grains falling sparsely, unable to feed the hungry families. The world groaned under the weight of scarcity.
The Events Leading to Famine
Before the famine, the world trembled. The economy crumbled, not by the hand of God, but by the hands of men. Corruption spread like a disease. The powerful hoarded wealth while the poor were cast aside. Greedy systems drained the earth, and resources were squandered for profit. The rich became richer, and the poor were left to starve.
Banks collapsed, currencies lost their value, and the wealth of nations vanished overnight. People watched as their savings turned to dust, their labour counted for nothing. The streets filled with unrest, and order gave way to chaos.
The Black Horse of Revelation
“The rider on the black horse comes, and a voice cries out: ‘A measure of wheat for a day’s wages, and three measures of barley for a day’s wages…’” (Revelation 6:6)
The price of food soared beyond reach. Families were forced to choose between a loaf of bread and their last possessions. The powerful controlled the supply, dictating who would eat and who would suffer. Starvation spread like a shadow across the land, not by the will of heaven, but by the greed of men.
A Call to Prepare and Trust in the Lord
Yet, in the midst of darkness, there is hope for those who trust in the Lord.
“The time is now. Prepare your hearts. Prepare your homes. Seek the Lord while He may be found. Do not trust in riches, for they will fail you. Do not trust in rulers, for they will fall. But trust in the Lord, for He is our refuge in times of trouble.”
This is the hour to turn back to God. Let us not be blinded by the false security of wealth or the promises of earthly powers. Our true provision comes from the Lord, our sustenance is in His Word, and our hope is in His eternal kingdom.
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33)
A Prayer for Provision and Strength
Heavenly Father,
Open our eyes to see the times we are living in. Help us to trust in You alone, knowing that You are our provider and refuge. Prepare our hearts for what is to come, and lead us in righteousness. Let us not fear but stand firm in faith, knowing that Your hand sustains us.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
